On April 8th, the summary and commendation conference of Beijing Winter Olympic Games and Paralympic Winter Games was held in Beijing. SPC was commended by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council for its outstanding completion of the tasks of the research and development, mass production and operation support of the torches, and was honored as "outstanding contribution collective of Beijing Winter Olympic Games and winter Paralympic Games". 

The Organizing Committee of the Beijing Olympic Winter Games and Paralympic Winter Games highly praised SPC’s torch team for their courage, responsibility, contributions, their completion in the research and development, mass production and operation support of the torches and related products, the good foundation they have laid for the safe, smooth and high-level torch relay, and the contribution that they have made to the successful holding of the simple, safe, and wonderful Winter Olympic Games.
