Since this year, SPC’s new high-pressure polyethylene products have entered the fields of pharmaceutical packaging film and food packaging bottle cap manufacturing respectively. Compared with ordinary agricultural films, heavy packaging films, etc., the new products continuously uplift their market competitiveness with their high-tech content and high quality.

SPC is committed to promoting the upgrading of polyolefin products. In 2021, a research group was established with Zhejiang University to carry out research on the polymerization process of LDPE (high-pressure polyethylene) for pharmaceutical packaging films and developed a production technology for high-pressure polyethylene with low n-hexane extract. It was applied in the No. 2 polyethylene plant of the Synthetic Resin Department, and produced the new product Q281D. On this basis, the project team further developed a series of products with low n-hexane extract and obtained a new product Q800 that can be used for food packaging. This product has not only passed the rigorous test on the domestic GB4806.6 standard, but also obtained international authoritative certifications such as the US FDA and the EU ROHS, and has been successfully applied in the food and daily necessities packaging market.
